United Neighbors to Revitalize Allen and Pike (UNRAP)

Two Bridges Neighborhood Council partnered with Community Board 3, the Lower East Side BID, and three other civic and cultural organizations to form United Neighbors to Revitalize Allen and Pike (UNRAP).

The UNRAP process engaged community members in envisioning the redesign of the Allen and Pike Street Pedestrian Malls. In September 2008, UNRAP completed and published a comprehensive plan for the renovation and revitalization of the malls.

The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation has created architectural plans to carry out UNRAP's recommendations, and construction will begin shortly.
