Robert Weber has over 20 years experience in community development, government affairs, communications and constituency building. He began his professional career with the Human Rights Commission during the Koch administration, where he was a member of the city's first anti-bias team and worked as a community organizer in Brooklyn.

More recently, Weber led the Rebuild Chinatown Initiative, a comprehensive community-based planning effort formed to help guide the post 9/11 economic recovery efforts. Under his leadership, RCI attracted over $58 million for economic development, affordable housing and public space projects. In 2004 he co-founded the Chinatown Partnership LDC to form a Business Improvement District and revitalize local businesses.

As a communications consultant, he has created, executed and monitored public relations strategies for Fortune 100 clients and prominent not-for-profit organizations. He has successfully pitched clients to the New York Times, Daily News, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Time, CNN and World News Tonight, among many other news outlets.

During the early 90s, Weber served as a senior government official for a large metropolitan city where he managed the city's press office, guided redevelopment efforts of its downtown and waterfront areas, and served as the administration's key liaison to numerous groups, including Latino organizations, labor unions and local business owners.

Weber has authored dozens of articles, reports and op-eds on a broad range of public policy and community development issues. He is also a licensed real estate broker, 7A administrator, and received training in conflict resolution. He speaks Spanish fluently. His hobbies include hiking, bicycling and motorcycling.
